Concilio Solutions Warn Companies to Sit up and Take Notice of Millennials

0

Thursday 16 March, 2017

Despite millennials being predicted to make up 50% of the workforce by 2020, the majority are struggling to get their foot in the door of the working world. After celebrating recent success of their Millennial associates, Concilio is warning companies not to ignore the potential of the millennial workforce.

About Concilio Solutions: http://www.conciliosolutions.com/about-us/

It’s no secret that in today’s media, millennials are still falling victim to unfair stereotypes. It's widely reported that millennials are entitled, and unwilling to take jobs they feel are beneath them. They are also regarded as lazy and disloyal employees, spending their time either glued to their smartphones or biding their time until a better job offer comes along.

However, these generalisations are not only unfair; they are also stunting the growth of the business world. In reality, millennials are incredibly hard working; recent research from recruitment app Coople found that one in five millennials are working more than one job. The study, which surveyed over 2000 millennial employees, found that 19 percent currently have more than one primary source of income – more than any other generation. What’s more, 47 percent of the millennials cited the desire to learn and expand their skill sets to be the key factor in taking on multiple jobs.

Concilio Solutions a Newcastle based sales and marketing firm believe that this is a trait of the millennial workforce that often goes unreported. The company also think that while it’s cited as a negative trait, millennials shouldn’t be ashamed of feeling entitled. In the current jobs market, young workers are often expected to work unpaid internships to get as much as a foot in the door of the business world. Furthermore, investing in a three-year degree no longer guarantees professional success, so it’s no wonder that millennials are feeling uninspired by the lack of opportunity on the jobs market.

Concilio Solutions is shocked by this lack of opportunity available to the millennial workforce and is warning companies that action must be taken now to engage with younger workers. Millennials are a hugely ambitious age group, with 34 percent of 18-24-year-olds valuing career progression as the most important aspect of a job, and if companies were willing to tap into this the potential for success could be astounding.

As well as ambition and a desire for skill development, Concilio Solutions believes Millennials embody the traits of business success. Their knowledge of technology means they are tuned into the emerging world around them and accepting of change. They are also hungry for responsibility and partly due to their poor reputation are eager to prove themselves in the professional environment. With the prediction that by 2020, millennials could rise to make 50 percent of the global workforce, now is the time to utilise these traits.

Concilio Solutions work with a predominantly Millennial workforce – offering them the chance to take charge of their futures and learn the skills and industry know-how to grow and thrive. The firm was thrilled to reveal that they recently celebrated the success of one of their Millennial associates who is set to start his own business in the coming weeks after starting in the industry at entry level.

Concilio Solutions specialise in a unique form of direct marketing to guarantee top results for their clients. For more information Follow @ConcilioSol On Twitter and Like them on Facebook.

Thursday 16 March, 2017

Wondering what to get your mum for Mother's Day? People of the Streets, a student start-up may have the perfect answer.

The innovative award winning social enterprise has come up with a unique way to raise funds for their project, by offering to personally write thank you letters and poems to the mothers of their backers.

“There's no better way to make your mum proud than showing a little bit of compassion,” Said People of the Streets director Charles Kerr. “The poems are our way of saying thank you for backing our campaign to fight homelessness.”

The Campaign which launched earlier this month on UK based Crowdfunder.co.uk has already raised over 60% of its target and while the Mother's Day rewards are limited there are still some up for grabs.

Nottingham, UK – People of the Streets take to Crowdfunder to launch their new Community Interest Company. The not-for profit-organisation, aims to create an online portal to bridge the divide between the public and the homeless.

People of the Streets will use the crowdfunding funds to purchase products for their unique online platform. The concept will allow donors to purchase essential everyday products, that we as a society often take for granted. The online store will offer things like razors, shampoo and tampons as well as warm clothing and sleeping bags.

The campaign only has a few days left and there has never been a more important time to get involved.

Element Events Ask ‘Are You Leaving a Lasting Impression’?

0
0
Friday 17 March, 2017

It only takes 10 seconds for an individual to make an impression on others, however, how do you ensure this impression is a good one? Here, the creative marketing firm Element Events shares how to stand out for all the right reasons.

About: http://www.weareelementevents.com/about-us/

Introductions are everything, and research conducted by Managing Director, Carlton Roach, revealed that it is within 10 seconds that someone makes a decision about the conversation. Within these 10 seconds, the impression on the second party will have already been made, and if a negative impression is relayed the conversation will become unengaging, uninteresting and ineffective.

Element Events is a direct and event marketing firm based in Manchester, which offer their clients a high return on investment and provide the solution to the problems of customer acquisition and brand awareness. To help form an active and engaging conversation, the firm aims to ensure that all customers leave the conversation in a more positive mood than that of which they had at the start of the conversation.

By leaving customers in a more positive attitude, they can build longer lasting relationships. After having been able to connect with the customers, this relationship becomes more meaningful and personal. This enables the firm to fulfil their mission of developing relationships between their clients and the customers.

The company has discussed their tips to allow others to commit to engaging and compelling conversations of which will lead to a more positive outcome.

1. Being on time

The only thing that comes before the introduction is turning up. Arriving on time when meeting someone for the first time starts the process of leaving a good impression.

2. Being true to yourself

Being uncomfortable and on edge puts the other party in the same position. Make sure that throughout the conversation both sides are feeling at ease around each other and showing personality to connect.

3. Presentation

First impressions are not only made up of conversations but of presentation as well. No one wants to attend a meeting with new people to find the other person or people don't look well presented. BE smart, dress smart.

4. A word about individuality

Most people go wrong when they try to start a conversation with a suggested line. This can be very transparent, and it is recommended that everyone maintains their individuality, opening the conversation using their own unique methods.

5. A winning smile

Smiling creates a good first impression. It is friendly and welcoming, and gives off a warm energy. Others are more likely to listen to someone who appears happy.

6. Be open and confident

Body language is critical in many situations. During any conversation, it is vital to appear open and confident in the company of the other person, to generate an engaging and personal conversation. Open body language allows the opportunity to let someone in.

7. Small talk goes a long way

Keeping a conversation going can prove difficult, and this is where small talk can be useful. Finding common ground and similar interests can create a more natural flow to the conversation, and open more doors.

8. Be positive

A person’s attitude is visible in everything they do. By projecting a positive attitude, they are likely to attract other positive people to and also spread the same feeling among others. This generates a connection between two people, and they are more likely to listen.

9. Be courteous and attentive

Excellent manners and a polite attitude go a long way. By being courteous and attentive, the conversation can result in both parties feeling appreciated and understood, but it also defeats any distractions, leaving a lasting impression on the other person.

Element Events' Managing Director, Carlton Roach, explains that by following these tips and taking them onboard ensure the day to day success of business conversations, creating more meaningful and personal exchanges and resulting in more positive and desirable outcomes!

2017’s debut crime authors were celebrated at a new event designed to showcase and support new writing talent.

Hosted by the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival and sponsor, HW Fisher, at Carmelite House in London on 16 March, the New Blood Drinks Reception, invited authors from across the crime genre who have a debut coming in 2017.

Revealed on the night were the four authors hand-picked by Val McDermid to feature at the Festival’s 2017 New Blood panel. Since 2004, McDermid has hosted her annual New Blood panel, which has become one of the most anticipated events on the publishing calendar. It is always a sell-out and the New Blood authors’ books are the best-selling titles in the Festival bookshop.

Val’s 2017 New Blood authors were revealed as: Fiona Cummins, Rattle; Jane Harper, The Dry; Joseph Knox, Sirens; Kristen Lepionka, The Last Place You Look.

Val McDermid said: “I have the best job in the world of crime fiction. Almost every year since the event began more than a decade ago, I have chaired the New Blood panel at the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival. Some people might be daunted by the prospect of working their way through fifty-plus novels, but I was a fan of crime fiction long before I was a published author – and I’m as excited now as I was then to discover new talent to keep me reading into the small hours.”

New Blood authors Val has picked to date include SJ Watson, Stuart MacBride, Clare Mackintosh, Belinda Bauer and Dreda Say Mitchell. Dreda said: “Being invited onto the New Blood panel hosted by the amazing and legendary Val McDermid was one of the key springboards that launched my career.”

Val added: “Over the years, I’ve been able to introduce some formidable new talents to the Harrogate audience, and through them to a wider readership.”

Andrew Subramaniam, partner and head of the Authors and Journalists team at HW Fisher & Company, said: “We are delighted to support the New Blood reception and continue our long standing sponsorship of new crime writing talent.”

Precision Acquisitions Direct Outline the Importance of Precision

0

Friday 17 March, 2017

Being part of their identity, Precision Acquisitions Direct is adamant that precision is central to professional success, and has released a statement on the importance of precision in the modern business world.

London-based Precision Acquisitions Direct is the home of quality experiential marketing campaigns. The company specialises in quality event marketing campaigns that connect consumers to brands and helps to secure long term brand loyalty. Working directly with their clients, the firm creates and implements pop up events that drive customer engagement and open a clear line of communication between brands and their consumers. Focusing on one on one communication allows Precision Acquisitions Direct to deliver memorable brand experiences, which increases their clients customer acquisition, retention and weekly ROI.

About: http://www.precisionacquisitionsdirect.com/meet-precision-acquisitions-direct/

‘Precision; or the quality, condition or fact of being exact and accurate is imperative to business success’ stated a spokesperson from Precision Acquisitions Direct in a statement released last week. In the current climate of uncertainty, where Brexit is still holding a question mark over the future of UK enterprise, and Scotland preparing to make another bid for independence, precision could be the only constant for many business professionals. Committing to precision is taking the ultimate control, and leaving little margin for error. In many areas of life, precision is critical, for example a brain surgeon must have precision when operating, or there could be catastrophic consequences for their patient. A deep sea diver must be precise when underwater, timing their rise to the surface just right so that they have enough oxygen to last. Precision Acquisitions Direct believe that while in business the consequences are not life and death, the stakes are still high and precision remains a critical component.

In the statement released last week, Precision Acquisitions Direct outlined research into how precision and planning can directly influence success. In a study published in 2010, the business growth of 11,046 companies was monitored and the results highlighted the impact planning had on business performance, not just for new companies finding their feet, but for established organisations. The firm has deduced that planning for success has such a significant impact due to the line between success and failure being incredibly fine. Being precise; planning and preparing for all potential outcomes allows professionals to remain on their chosen path and overcome any challenges they encounter on their way to the top.

Precision Acquisitions Direct is urging people to take a more planned approach to their success. The firm is adamant that by nurturing a detail orientated mind-set and a determined attitude can support growth both personal and professional growth in the current climate of uncertainty.

We are in the process of adapting an old space into a beautiful, green and wild learning environment. This will benefit the local wildlife as well as the children in our care. The children are taking an active role in this transformation and are keen to join the challenge.

As a registered charity, we rely mainly on voluntary donations. Our families and the local Wyevale garden centre have been very supportive of our cause, we are still seeking further funds to ensure the continuity of the space and to improve our green spaces further in the future.

The UK Over the past 50 years has seen declines in nearly two-thirds of our plant and animal species*, and with habitat loss one of the reasons behind this, gardening for wildlife is more important than ever. This is one of many being organised across the UK to promote the positive impacts of community gardening in providing food and habitat for wildlife.

Jade Turnbull-Allen, Supervisor said: “We believe that by teaching children respect for the environment from a young age we can make a real difference for the future. The children benefit and learn far better in an outdoor environment, it is a strong part of our ethos. We are lucky to have a talented gardener as a staff member who is teaching us all how we can take part. The opportunity to support wildlife growth is very exciting to the children, they cannot wait to see some new visitors to our garden and pond.”

Andrea Van Sittart, RHS Head of Community Outreach, said: “Gardens and communal green spaces provide vital food sources and habitat for a diverse range of wildlife. Bloom community groups across the UK plant over 170,000 trees a year and millions of perennials, shrubs and bulbs. This year we’ll be transforming grey spaces into green places. Anyone can get involved and make a difference for wildlife by choosing nectar and pollen-rich plants and keeping gardens green.”

Monday 20 March, 2017

Herefordshire, England, 17th March 2017. Clean water advocacy charity, Hope Spring water is urging its supporters and the public to send an ecard, instead of a traditional mother’s day card, when sending a mother’s day greetings this year.

A trustee for Hope Spring Water, sustainability advocate Temi Odurinde said, “Sending an ecard to your mother, instead of a regular paper based card makes a lot more sense from environmental viewpoint. The fact of the matter is that, ecards have significantly less carbon footprint, than paper based cards. Which mother will not be proud that their child is helping the environment?”

Ecards are significantly cheaper to send than traditional greetings cards. A traditional mother’s day card plus postage could on average cost £3 or more, while sending an ecard cost a fraction of that.

In partnership with DontSendMeACard.com, Hope Spring Water have developed a platform, which allows their supporter and the public to send an ecard, for a donation to Hope Spring.

A win for mothers, a win for the environment & a win for Hope Spring

Sending a mother’s day ecard, using Hope Spring Water & DontSendMeACard.com platform is a win win situation for all. The ecard sender get to send a beautiful well designed ecard for mother’s day. He is a little kinder to the environment in the process. The mother receives a greener mother’s day greetings and Hope Spring Water gets a donation to continue its good work.

Information and link to the page where Hope Spring supports and the public can send an ecard and donate the cost of postage to Hope Spring can be found on their website.

New Tinnitus Support Group for Faversham

Monday 20 March, 2017

17/03/2017 A new group to support local people with tinnitus is being formed by Hi Kent in Faversham. The first meeting will take place on Saturday 22 April 2017, 10am – 12noon at Brents Tavern, Upper Brents, Faversham, ME13 7DP.

Maxine Harris from Hi Kent said “We have found that our groups in Maidstone, Ashford and Pembury have really helped people who are struggling with their tinnitus to move forward. We are very pleased to be able to expand our groups to other parts of Kent this year so we can reach more people who do not know where to turn.”

Dave Carr, BTA Volunteering and Engagement Manager comments: “Being among people who have the problem, listening to their experiences and how they have managed to handle things, is a tremendous help for the individual. I witness this first hand when attending group meetings. It is amazing seeing the difference it makes to people, especially those who have recently been diagnosed.”

Tinnitus is defined as the experience of sounds with no external source, most commonly ringing or buzzing, but sometimes experienced as whooshing, clicking or even music. Many people aren’t troubled by sounds they hear, but for around 10%, the condition has a significant impact on their quality of life, often linked to stress, anxiety or sometimes depression.

Dave adds: “Tinnitus can be an isolating condition, with friends and family struggling to understand how it feels to adapt to the presence of loud or persistent noises. Some people choose to bring a partner or family member to the meetings, which can often help both parties understand more about the condition and the experiences or behaviours it can bring.”

If you would like to find out more, please contact Hi Kent on 01622 691151 or email Maxine Harris – m.harris@hikent.org.uk

Editors Notes

The British Tinnitus Association (BTA) is an independent charity which supports thousands of people who experience tinnitus and advises medical professionals from across the world.

The BTA is the primary source of support and information for people with tinnitus in the UK, facilitating an improved quality of life.

They aim to encourage prevention through its educational programme and to seek effective treatment for tinnitus through a medical research programme.

The support the BTA offers to 335,000 people per year who are affected by tinnitus is reliant upon the generous donations of their supporters and fundraisers. They receive no government support and need to raise half a million pounds each year to continue their UK wide support. Donations can be made via www.justgiving.com/BTA

Not an illness or disease, tinnitus is a term that describes the sensation of hearing a noise in the absence of an external sound. The noise can have virtually any quality. Ringing, whistling, and buzzing are common, but more complex sounds may also be reported. Troublesome tinnitus can be very distressing for the affected individual, and issues may arise with sleep, concentration and mood. However, in many cases, subtle changes in people’s environment can address these issues, and improve quality of life.

The experienced team at the BTA understands the impact that tinnitus can have on the lives of those who experience tinnitus and those who live with them, so seeks to provide the most appropriate and expert advice and information free of charge – via a confidential freephone helpline on 0800 018 0527 and online at www.tinnitus.org.uk. The BTA can also post printed and audio information and advice.

Skyline Marketing shares four habits that make a highly profitable entrepreneur

0

Monday 20 March, 2017

Liverpool-based sales and marketing firm Skyline Marketing offers aspiring entrepreneurs tips to develop four habits of success.

Skyline Marketing understands that being profitable requires confidence, a positive mind-set, and dedication to hard work. But beyond that, an aspiring entrepreneur has to be prepared to give up bad habits – poor time management, or maybe a lack of focus for example – to succeed. They need to replace these with higher quality habits; new practices that can ensure profitability if enacted on a daily basis. The firm, which specialises in developing aspiring entrepreneurs to success, has outlined four habits they believe will put you on the path to success.

About Skyline Marketing: http://www.skylinemarketingltd.co.uk/about-us/

The first tip addresses time management. All successful entrepreneurs know that time can be their biggest enemy. Skyline Marketing believes in allocating one's time appropriately. Using the bucket system is a good approach to this. It involves focussing time and energy around those items on the top of the to-do list. This can be challenging for even the most experienced of all time-managers. The trick is in not getting bogged down by the little things, or minutiae of a business. They’ll only get in the way of achieving wider goals. “It’s vital,” says Skyline Marketing, “to concentrate your efforts where they’re most needed.” Managing Director of the company, Jamie Talbot, recommends mapping out immediate commitments at the end of every week:

“Sit down on a Sunday night, review the commitments you have for the week coming, whether they be meetings, travel arrangements, or presentations, and decide how much time each task needs to be allocated. Perhaps Client Projects will take up 40% of your schedule. Business Development might take another 40%, and Admin the remaining 20%. The key is predicting ahead of time, so you don’t get off track when the week actually rolls around.”

Another invaluable business practice is keeping track of numbers. If a person is not familiar with the latest stats for income, expenses, and profit, it’s impossible to be in control of the company. Knowing numbers inside and out is critical in finding out where to improve. Skyline Marketing recommends devoting ten minutes a week to reviewing these – input them into an Excel or Google spreadsheet for easy reference.

The third useful habit involves outlook. It's easy to be overcome by the amount of work pending, but to grow income, a person has to be ready for the next deal or client. High-performing businesses are consistently developing leads. By doing so, they ensure stability for their future, as well as benefitting their outlook on the present. When the company has continued direction, smaller problems seem more easily solved. Skyline Marketing suggests setting a daily goal - perhaps committing to reaching out to at least five business development contacts per day? Making this many contacts will inevitably lead to a few concrete leads, if not more.

Finally, it’s important to understand that customers will rarely come to the business’ front door for business opportunities, especially as a start-up. “Rather than assume that business will come your way, it's much more effective to take action,” states Jamie Talbot of Skyline Marketing. The trick is in being persistent; never give up on a potential business lead unless the answer is a definitive ‘no’. “Keep the conversation moving!” says Mr Talbot.

Skyline Marketing is an outsourced sales company that has successfully increased revenue since their commencement in 2011. The firm's rapid growth has seen them be named one of the leaders in the direct sales and marketing industries. Founded in Birmingham, they have recently expanded into Liverpool, which is emerging as one of the UK's most successful locations to start a business. Skyline Marketing Ltd is outsourced by businesses looking to expand their customer base and increase brand awareness.

Bath: rethinking refugees as assets

Rethinking Refugees as Assets

The past two years have been tumultuous ones, with unprecedented numbers of refugees entering the region, further austerity measures and the Brexit vote. With further arrivals from Syria expected soon a way ahead is needed.

On Monday 3rd April, Ashley Community Housing are holding a Rethinking Refugee event at The Guildhall in Bath. At this event they will share their experience of refugee resettlement and reintegration. Presentations and discussions will cover the untapped economic potential of the refugee asset within the region, and how to rethink refugees as assets rather than liabilities.

Warm words are not enough. Practical actions are needed here in Bath now. Ashley Community Housing has been working in refugee resettlement in the West of England since 2008, and believe their combination of understanding, experience and technical knowledge allows them to make a unique contribution.

By attempting to understand the best ways to resettle refugees the aim is to generate new ideas which can turn current humanitarian challenges into sustainable opportunities.

For more information about the event you can visit http://www.ashleyhousing.com/news-events/events/ or register your attendance via Eventbrite.

Awareness Day for Little Known Neurological Condition That Affects Thousands

0

Monday 20 March, 2017

Across the UK, March 25 2017 is going to be a special day for one group of people. Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) encompasses a diverse range of symptoms including functional limb weakness and movement disorders, functional and dissociative attacks (non-epileptic), sensory problems, cognitive problems, visual and speech symptoms.

Whilst the symptoms may appear similar to neurological diseases including those of Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s and Epilepsy, and are associated with similar levels of disability and distress, they are not caused by structural disease of the nervous system. Instead, it is a problem with how the nervous system is functioning. The condition affects men, women and children of all ages and is commonly seen in neurology clinics.

However, there is very little awareness amongst the medical profession as a whole and even less amongst the general public. The awareness day will make a big difference.

On the day, there will be two Facebook Live interviews with top specialist neurologists Dr Jon Stone who is based at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh (at 11 am) and Professor Mark Edwards who is based at St George’s Hospital in London (at 2pm) and lots of activity across social media and beyond.

The day is being organised by FND Action, the first charity to be founded in the UK to support people diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorders. It is being supported by other organisations such as FND Dimensions, a charity that facilitates meet ups for people with FND, some of which will be taking place in different venues on and around the day

Kim Hearne, CEO of FND Action said: “We are very excited about the day. Thousands of people across the UK are affected by the condition but there is so little awareness. We are looking forward to changing that.”

To find out how you can get involved, visit our website.

IBM Launches Industry’s Most Secure Enterprise-Ready Blockchain Services for Hyperledger Fabric v 1.0 on IBM Cloud

Monday 20 March, 2017

First commercial deployment of open source Hyperledger Fabric creates open, integral business networks IBM Cloud provides industry’s most secure blockchain environment; Highest certified level of protection for a commercial server for regulated industries.

IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced the new release of IBM Blockchain, the first enterprise-ready blockchain service based on the Linux Foundation's Hyperledger Fabric version 1.0. The service enables developers to quickly build and host security-rich production blockchain networks on the IBM Cloud, and is underpinned by IBM LinuxONE , the industry’s most secure Linux server.

The Linux Foundation's open source Hyperledger Fabric v1.0 is being developed by members of the Hyperledger consortium alongside other open source blockchain technologies. The Hyperledger consortium's Technical Steering Committee recently promoted Fabric from incubator to active state and it is expected to be available in the coming weeks. It is designed to provide a framework for building enterprise-grade blockchain networks that can quickly scale as new network members join and transact at rates of more than 1,000 transactions per second among large ecosystems of users.

IBM's blockchain services are designed to help developers create, deploy and manage blockchain networks on the IBM Cloud, and the company was first-to-market with its High Security Business Network services for regulated environments. Clients ranging from startup Everledger to financial services leaders Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and Northern Trust are among the organizations running their blockchain applications on the IBM Cloud today.

"IBM has applied decades of experience running the world's largest transaction systems for banks, airlines, governments and retailers, to build the most secure blockchain services for the enterprise," said Marie Wieck, general manager, IBM Blockchain. "IBM's blockchain services are built on IBM's High Security Business Network and designed for organizations that require blockchain networks that are trusted, open and ready for business."

Many think blockchain is an inherently safe technology, but blockchain networks are only as safe as the infrastructures on which they reside. IBM's High Security Business Network offers the world’s most secure Linux infrastructure that integrates security from the hardware up through the software stack, specifically designed for enterprise blockchains by providing:

Protection from insider attacks - helps safeguard entry points on the network and fight insider threats from anyone with system administrator credentialsThe industry’s highest certified level of isolation for a commercial system - Evaluation Assurance Level certification of EAL5+ is critical in highly regulated industries such as government, financial services and healthcare, to prevent the leakage of information from one party's environment to anotherSecure Service Containers – to help protect code throughout the blockchain application – effectively encapsulating the blockchain into a virtual appliance, denying access even to privileged usersTamper-responsive hardware security modules - to protect encrypted data for storage of cryptographic keys. These modules are certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 4, the highest level of security certification available for cryptographic modulesA highly auditable operating environment – comprehensive log data supports forensics, audit and compliance

IBM also announced today the first commercially available blockchain governance tools, and new open-source developer tools that automate the steps it takes to build with the Hyperledger Fabric from weeks to days.

The new blockchain governance tools make it easy to set up a blockchain network and assign roles and levels of visibility from a single dashboard. They help network members set rules, manage membership, and enforce network compliance once the network is up and running.

Once setup is initiated, members can determine the rules of the blockchain and share consent when new members request to join the network. In addition, the deployment tool assigns each network a Network Trust Rating of 1 to 100. New network members can view this before joining and determine whether or not they can trust the network enough to participate. Organizations can also take steps to improve their Trust Ratings before moving into production.

To make it easier for developers to translate business needs from concept to actual code, IBM Blockchain includes new open-source developer tools for Hyperledger Fabric called Fabric Composer. Fabric Composer can help users model business networks, create APIs that integrate with the blockchain network and existing systems of record and quickly build a user interface. Fabric Composer helps automate tasks that traditionally could take weeks, allowing developers to complete them in minutes.

IBM Blockchain for Hyperledger Fabric v1.0 is now available through a beta program on IBM Bluemix. Hyperledger Fabric is also available on Docker Hub as IBM-certified image available for download at no cost.
